Film Synopsis

Released in June 2014, The Internet’s Own Boy tells the incredible story of American computer programming prodigy and internet activist Aaron Swartz. Swartz was a passionate believer in freedom of information and was involved in developing (among other things) Reddit and the Creative Commons infrastructure.

Facing possible imprisonment following charges of wire fraud and violations of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, Swartz sadly took his own life at the age of 26.
